Our appearance at Hannover Messe 2024 was a resounding success. For the first time, the Gaia-X 4 Future family of projects presented its innovative mobility solutions based on Base-X to the public.
At the Gaia-X joint stand, we presented the core aspects of our six projects with a total of 20 use cases on an area of 70 square meters. These included four cross-project use cases on road condition monitoring, bus stop management, intermodal travel and autonomous driving (ODD classifier). We also presented several “hands-on” exhibits. The interest in our solutions was enormous: we held more than 900 discussions with interested visitors from various companies and sectors. Many of them learned about our future-oriented, data-driven mobility solutions based on Base-X for the first time and were introduced to the principles of data and service ecosystems.
The family of projects participated in four panel discussions, including representatives of the cities Wolfsburg and Hamburg. It became clear how important decentralized digital data and service ecosystems are for secure urban mobility solutions of the future.
Another highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korean cities. The agreement provides for cooperation in the development of secure data and service ecosystems as well as innovative, data-driven mobility concepts.
Now it is all about attracting as many companies as possible from the mobility and logistics sector to the Base-X initiative.
